Community Investment

At Longford Energy, we believe in the importance of contributing to the people who live in the communities we operate in. As such, we want to provide maximum impact with our philanthropic efforts and support initiatives towards the well-being of the Kurdish people.

We are extremely proud to have partnered with The International Children’s Heart Foundation in August 2010 to provide 21 children with life-saving heart surgeries. The current situation in Kurdistan for children with heart disease is critical. There are no specific treatments available and the mortality rate is extremely high. Our contribution allowed a medical mission team of 15 people to travel to Sulaymaniya to save the lives of children who otherwise would not have received treatment.

We look forward to funding additional programs in 2011 to further our goal of supporting and enriching the quality of life in Kurdistan.
